Great shot Rory! My husband lived in Africa for a few years as a teen- whilst his Dad and crew were off studying some mammals, Matt did a "study" on a Weaver! Don't know what ever happened to it, but it apparently didn't make it into any scientific journals!
Rory Ingle: Thats very interesting I don't suppose you know which species and where in Africa, I recently photographed nests of the sociable weaver, can be an interesting bird to study, maybe I will post to sc.
As it was 38 years ago... he THINKS it was a Red Headed Weaver? And they were camped at Bushwackers in Kenya... 1/2 way between Mambasa and Nairobi? Does any of that make sense? Cuz it doesn't to me!! smile The nests are really a marvel- you definitely should post some images!
